'80s Flashback

The Me Generation

Eric Pudalov
born in '81, still in a haze
the pretenders got brass in pocket
making guitar chords from my naked dreams

echo saw me under blue moon
my high-rise shadows shifting
taking me to uneasy flashback strobes

the cure spread the disease on too thick
but robert knew that boys don't cry
and siouxsie and the banshees were
back from the dead

you may say that we've lost our minds
in some marijuana maze
and here you are now
barred behind this steely cage

i'm not your madonna
we're your nine inch nails
so head like a hole, because you're our
perfect drug

let's dance like david bowie
because there ain't nothin' else to do

somebody find me the palace in chains
because this is the me generation
and i'll never connect to you

This is just too damn cool. I'm still a Bowie fan. I must be stuck in the 80's.
