9/11: Peace Without Flower

peace without flower.

My sister and I knew one person lost this day. I hadn't seen Julie for many years, so we were not close. But I had met her face and voice, and near this day am haunted by a question. I wonder what terrors she knew just before losing her life, or if she even had time to know. As with many others, she was never found. Peace Julie.

I cannot imagine the terror that those people and those who loved them felt that day for forever more. Beautiful heartfelt poetry and memory. I am sorry for your loss.

Each person lost has a host of people who mourn. Such a terrible tragedy.

Perhaps she was found... And watches from above. It is awful to know a face, even if you don't know the person, that suffers such tragedy.

May thinking of the beauty of the rest of her life, before those horrific moments, be of comfort to you.

Without ever knowing her, I'll always remember her, too. Some of the remains of the Twin Towers are buried close to where I used to live in Ohio.

    Great work as always!!!

I hope that Julie is at peace and am so sad that her last moments on this earth had to be filled with such terror. I live 15 minutes away from the towers and will never forget all the lives lost and the wasteful devastation -- AND FOR WHAT? I'm a free thinker like you and will never be a follower of any organized religion.

I love the rhyme. Peace be with Julie's family and friends, and all those who are remembering someone lost that day.

I too lost one person - the first officer in the second plane to hit, United 175. I too wonder what he went through... then I wonder what individuals in varying situations went through, esp. around 9-11. I could drive myself nuts thinking about it too much, so I try not to think about it TOO much.
