No matter how hard you try, and how much skill you have, you can fail at doing anything just because your head is in the clouds. You can try to concentrate, but if you don't clear your mind of everything else, you will not be able to complete work to your full potential. This problem is also very common while reading. You try your best to read what is in front of you, but you just can't concentrate or you are thinking of something else at the same time.
- Relieve your stress- If you are under a lot of stress you will have a very hard time concentrating . Your thoughts will be all over the place, thinking about those bills you need to pay, or that project you still haven't started. The best way to believe your stress is to fix whatever is causing it. It is better to work, staying up late for a few hours, than to stress about it all the next day.

- Get adequate sleep- Concentration will dramatically decrease if you are tired and your work will not be of the quality that it would have been if you were alert. Being wired up on caffeine will just cause a greater crash later so just go to sleep earlier. Relaxing at home will help too.

- Eat healthy food- This plays in with getting adequate sleep. Eating healthily will reduce your fatigue throughout the day, in return, making you more alert, less tired, more willing to work, and will overall put you in a better mood. Small HEALTHY snacks are the better than big meals because it gives you a steady supply of nutrients.

- MOVE- By exercising in the morning and at night you will experience less fatigue and it will help to wake you up after a long night of sleep. It will also make you feel better and put you in a good mood for your day.

- To-Do list- Make sure you know what you are suppose to be doing. If you stay on track, you will be more focused on your work. It is when you don't know what else to do, when you start to get sidetracked and lose your focus for the rest of the day. Small tasks like going to YouTube to watch a video can turn into a hour-long waste of your time.

- Stay organized- When you are organized, you will not be as stressed and you will be able to stay on track. If your workplace is messy than your thoughts and concentration on your subject will be intercepted by all the stuff you come across.

- Set Goals- This is like your to-do list but will help you concentrate on things more long-term. Put it somewhere that can guarantee that you will see it every day. This will also help you not fall behind on your work.

- STOP ZONING OUT!- When you start to go to daydream land, catch yourself! If you don't, who knows what you will forget, not do, or how much time you will waste. Block everything else out of your mind.

- Meditate- Just make yourself more comfortable, get in a good position, clear your mind. But word of warning, leave this at home; don't freak your out coworkers by burning incense in your cube or humming to block out the noises.
