Food prices are inflated everywhere at Disneyland. A meal form a quick service restaurant will run at least 10 dollars, plus drinks, while at sit down restaurants like Carnation Café on Main Street, or Café Orleans in New Orleans square an entre is about 12 dollars, plus you get free refills on drinks. If you have some time, take the Monorail from Tomorrowland to Downtown Disney and eat outside of the park at one of the restaurants in Downtown Disney.
2. Don't think you have to leave if it's raining
Everybody leaves and you have the park to yourself!
3. Don't think you can do it all
You will not ride every ride, see every character, or shop in every shop, don't try. Do what you really want to do, and then see what else you have time for.
4. Don't forget about fastpasses
Cut your time waiting in line in half by always having a fastpass in your pocket. These tickets can be obtained a kiosks near major rides and give you a time to return. When you come back, your ticket is a pass to the front of the line. New fast passes can be obtained using your entrance ticket every two hours of so, and fastpasses are good anytime after the given time, so it's possible to use all of them at the end of the day.
5. Don't go in Splash Mountain unless you want to get wet
I swear it has gotten wetter over the years. It's great on a hot day but not everyone is thrilled about it at ten at night
6. Don't be afraid to sit down
Every time I'm at the park I see people dragging themselves through the park looking completely miserable. Rest throughout the day, or sit down as one of the theater based shows or along the parade route. You will have more fun if you're rested.
7. Don't write your plans in stone
If your plan is to ride Indiana Jones and the wait is 90 minutes, don't be afraid to get a fastpass of come back latter. If you plan on getting a fast pass for big thunder and the standby wait time is 5 minutes, be willing to stand in line. Stop when your tired, watch something that's interesting (Disney is know for it's surprise shows) and be open to changes in your plans.
8. Don't be afraid to ask a cast member
They are there to help and they probably know the answer
9. Don't forget you're it the happiest place on earth
You are supposed to be having fun!

Post a CommentI really agree with #6. Sitting down and relaxing for a bit can really enhance the Disneyland experience. Plus, you'll notice more magical Disney details.
Great advice! I agree that it's best to rest and pace yourself throughout the day. There's nothing worse than dragging yourself through a theme park when you are exhausted just for the sake of "doing it all".
