You May Decide to Get Rid of Some of Your Maternity Clothes

Once you have your baby you may start to contemplate if you want to keep your maternity wear. Here are some things to think about:

1. Nine Month Later, Is It Time To Give Them Up?
Not wearing your maternity clothes any longer might be one of the first things that you want to accomplish as soon as you have your baby. Once you give birth you will have a better perspective of how your body feels and looks and will be able to make a better decision on if it is time to stop wearing maternity clothes.

2. Nine Month Later, Will There Be A Next Time Around?
Once it is time to deal with your maternity clothes that you no longer have to wear you can consider how you feel about them, or rather how you feel about wearing maternity wear again. Before you pack them up in plans to one day pull them out, ask yourself is there going to be another time when you will need them.

3. Nine Month Later, Do You Want These For Next Time Around?
If you know that you are planning to have more children you might want to pack up all of the maternity clothes that you have, that way when the next time comes around you will have a wardrobe that can fit your ever changing body once again. However, if you feel that the maternity clothes that you wore this time around aren't something that you are going to want to wear the next time around there is no reason to keep them for next time.

4. Nine Month Later, Do You Know Anyone Pregnant?
When you are not sure if you really need to keep your maternity wear you could consider giving it to someone who is pregnant. That way you can feel good about getting rid of it and open the possibility, if you decide to have another child, to being able to buy new maternity clothes if that is something that you would enjoy.

5. Nine Month Later, Would They Work For Someone Else?
Even if you don't know anyone who is pregnant you could give them a thrift store or donate them to charity. That way you know that they would go to good use.

6. Nine Month Later, Do You Like Them?
After the nine months that you were in them you may feel that your style has changed and you do not care for them as much.

7. Nine Month Later, Are There Any That Aren't Obvious?
Not all maternity wear is obvious maternity wear. If there is something that is comfortable that you can wear that doesn't highlight your belly, as a lot of maternity clothes do highlight the belly, there is nothing wrong with continuing to wear it.

8. Nine Month Later, Should I Keep Them For Nursing?
Maternity clothes are often designed so a new mother can nurse her child more easily. One reason to hang on to maternity clothes is to help the process of nursing get off to a good start. So before you pack them away consider how well you will be able to nurse when wearing your non-maternity wear.

9. Nine Month Later, Are They Worth Keeping?
In nine months a lot of wear and tear can happen. One thing is for sure, maternity clothes can be worth keeping if you know that they will go to use again. However, if you know that you are going to either buy something new the next time that you need maternity wear or that none of your pregnant friends would care for them or that if you donated them they would likely be tossed aside then there is no need to keep them as clothes for anyone.

It can be very fulfilling packing up your maternity clothes, knowing that you can now wear your original clothing and all, however it might be surprising to you if you find that some of your original clothes are not fitting just the same as before. Don't feel bad if you are wearing maternity wear a couple months after your baby is born.
