9 Things to Think About Nine Months Later: Sorting Pregnancy Items
You May Decide to Pack Up Some of Your Pregnancy Items After Your Baby is Born
1. Nine Month Later, Do You Need Pregnancy Books, Movies & Magazines?
Some of the pregnancy books, movies or magazines that you read and watched during your pregnancy may have some helpful information for the first months or even first year with your baby. When this is the case there is no reason to pack them away, but if the extension of the information that they offered ended at birth you should pack them away if you know that you are going to read or watch them again and if not then donate them or give them a friend or family member that is having a baby.
2. Nine Month Later, Do You Need Your Belly Support?
It will be unlikely that if you needed a belly support while you were pregnant that you will be needing it much longer after you give birth. Once you feel comfortable not wearing it you can decide if it is something that you want to keep and have for the next time that you are pregnant or if you would rather discard it.
3. Nine Month Later, Do You Need A Pregnancy Heart Monitor?
You may have had a monitor that you could use to hear your baby's heartbeat. There is no reason to keep this out and if you think that you will want it for the next time that you have a baby you can pack it away or give it to someone who is pregnant if you don't think that you will want to have it the next time around, that is if you feel that there is going to be a next time around.
4. Nine Month Later, Do You Need Your Belly Art and Belly Cast Kit
If you have leftovers of either belly art or a belly cast kit you will want to see if the packaging has a date that the materials will longer be good. There is no point in keeping something that is going to be dried up by the time you are going to be using it again. If you think that you know someone who could use it giving it away is better than throwing it away.
5. Nine Month Later, Do You Need Your Pregnancy Pillow?
Now depending on the kind of pregnancy pillow that you had while you were pregnant you may or may not be able to use it after you give birth but some of them can help with nursing. Depending on the kind that you had will determine if it is something that you want to keep around, if you are bedsharring with your baby keep in mind that it may not be a very good idea to use it.
6. Nine Month Later, Do You Need Your Pregnancy Tea?
There is no need to keep drinking pregnancy tea, you can get nursing tea instead. Finishing it wouldn't hurt anything but if you want to give the remaining tea bags to a friend or family member who is pregnant then that works fine too. It would be unlikely that the herbs would go bad soon, the box may offer an expiration date, but if you know that it is going to be several years before you have another baby then there is no point in packing the tea away.
7. Nine Month Later, Do You Need Your Pregnancy Ball?
A pregnancy ball can become a great exercising ball, if you plan to exercise then keeping it out can actually be in your interest. Giving it away works too and packing it up is fine because it won't spoil and you'll be able to use it again.
8. Nine Month Later, Do You Need Your Belly Creams?
This is something that you don't want to give away or pack up, you'll want to use it. Continue using it after you have given birth and while your uterus is still shrinking.
9. Nine Month Later, Do You Need Your Prenatal Vitamins
While you are still nursing you will still want to be taking your prenatal vitamins. So keep those bottles that you have after you give birth and replenish them for the whole time that you are nursing.
You may find that you want keep quite a bit, or may find that you know someone who could use it more and just decide to get new things when the time comes. Remember just because you give something away doesn't mean that you aren't going to have another baby.
