Let's start with Jenni Garth. The lady who played Kelly Taylor on the show has been doing sitcoms like "What I like about you" and doing a stint on "Dancing with the Stars"
Her return will be a break from the slow pace she's become used to and back on top in the spotlight with the return of one of the 90's biggest shows.
Jason Priestly is still talking it over, but he's been busy. Priestley has been seen in the FOX sci-fi drama "Tru Calling" opposite Eliza Dushku, and the Sci-Fi movie "Termination Point," a movie that was pretty good for Sci-Fi.
Shannen Doherty will return as Brenda Walsh and will play the role as the director of West Beverly's musical production.
Typical--she has to be in charge of something. She messed over "Charmed" and for some reason didn't like "Scare Tactics" so she's back to square one. Hopefully, though her role isn't a constant one, she'll behave. Aaron's not around (R.I.P.) so we'll wish for the best.
Which brings up the issue of Tori, who won't be returning because her paycheck would have looked slightly different to that of her peers. I wouldn't return either if they did that to me. Look what almost happened to "Everyone Loves Raymond" when that happened to them? Nearly split the whole brand apart.
Do folks right. "90210" was a 90's pop culture classic.
Now, as for Luke Perry, you can catch him alongside Malcolm Jamal-Warner on Sci-Fi's "Jeremiah". He will not be returning to the show due to not having Aaron Spelling there.
Even with that being the reason, I would strongly suggest everyone check that out because that show is good. The storyline of an equivalent plague "The Big Death" hitting every adult and leaving the children to fend for themselves is one thing, but now those children have to rebuild civilization. I'm giving too much away just check it out.
Brian Austin Green (Our favorite Mr. Hip-Hop (didn't he try to cut a track? Anyway..) has been busy as well with the pop culture classic "Terminator" brand. He's playing a reoccurring role in "Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles" which has really taken off well. I was impressed with how they're doing the storyline. Not to mention the show intertwines with the "Terminator" movies very well. Too bad folks, he won't be back to DJ any shows at the Peach Pit.
Steve Sanders will also be a no show. He simply claimed that's not where his career is going right now. He was recently seen on "Dancing with the Stars" as well.
That's about it. I'm sure this will change as many things do before show time.
