9/11

We were blinded. We let those terrorist into our country and trained them to hurt our people.
Grey smoke filled the air, as the plane hit the second tower.
Within a matter of seconds, the first tower fell to the ground.
I had never imagined that a building could fall, from top to bottom, in a straight line.
People jumped out of windows to their death. Some people were stuck in stairwells, elevators, and on top floors with no way out.
Then, it was not long, until the second tower fell to the ground. It seemed like a nightmare, as I watched this event unfold.
The city was filled with grey soot. Power was out all over town. New Yorker's banded together. Fireman and rescue workers filled the area to help recovery efforts. Doctors and Nurses from other cities went to help bind up wounds. The missing families displayed pictures, of their missing family members, as tears streamed down their faces. Our troops had to go to foreign fields, to protect us from sights like these. We must let the troops protect us. Pray for our troops.
Then, a third plane hit a Governmental building in Washingto D.C. People were injured. Some were carried out on stretchers. The United States has never been attacked like this, since Pearl Harbor many years ago.
There was a fourth plane headed for another destination. It crashed in Pennsylvania, after the passengers figured out that it had been high jacked by terrorists'. Passengers on the plane tried to take control by distracting the high jackers. Some called their family members, to let them know what was happening. On the phone, people on the plane cried out, "I love you." Family members will not forget those moments of helplessness, before the flight went down.
