9/11/01 Crazy Conspiracy Theories

Honor the Fallen - Not the Lies

Sheryl Young
Today, as we take a moment to honor the fallen innocent citizens, policemen, firemen, soldiers and others who have died as a result of 9/11/01, let's honor them by FORGETTING the ridiculous false 9/11 conspiracy theories that still linger. Here are just a few. The story of these theories can be found on the websites Snopes.com and/or truthorfiction.com as referenced below.

THEORY: The Pentagon was not hit by an American Airlines Boeing 757, but it was either a remote-control U.S. fighter jet or a truck bomb.
FALSE.
The theory was generated in France. And we all know the French love America.
If it wasn't AA Flight 77, where is that plane? Where are the people? Some say President Bush has them all in the Witness Protection Program (see theory below: "President Bush planned 9/11").
See all the rumor details here: http://www.truthorfiction.com/rumors/p/pentagoncrash.htm

THEORY: 4,000 Israelis who worked in the Towers were warned not to show up to work that day.
FALSE.
This rumor was started by Al-Manar Television in Beirut, Lebanon. It is a pro-Palestinian channel.
See all the rumor details here: http://www.truthorfiction.com/rumors/w/wtcisraelis.htm

THEORY: President Bush planned 9/11.
FALSE.
One of the first births of this theory - which led to others like a game of "telephone" where the last person gets the wrong message - was by British spy novelist John le Carré in an essay "America Gone Mad". The key word here is novel, not truth!
He contended that "For Bush and his 'junta' to get more rich through oil", the war was planned before 9/11.
See all the rumor details here: http://www.snopes.com/rumors/lecarre.asp

Isn't it curious that all of these rumors were started in foreign countries, yet Americans fell for them?

Ridiculous statement I've personally heard more than once:
"The Twin Towers are still there, shrouded in a fake cloud. Bush faked the whole thing to start a war." Come on, people. Tell this to those who had a loved one among the 3,000. I guess we never really landed on the moon either.

TRUTH: Todd Beamer stated in his last phone call that he relied on Jesus.
Substantiated by the Newsweek Report "The Real Story of Flight 93" from the transcripts of the cockpit recorder.
See all the true details here: http://www.snopes.com/rumors/beamer.asp

Relying on Jesus and your faith...Now THAT makes sense!

Remember back when I made that comment? I've learned the truth since.

    Thank you.

Okay, Dr. Goetting, not sure what this has to do with the 9/11 theories, but I will let you have your say here in the name of free speech.

Blowing the whistle on the C.I.A.'s secret war inside universities!

Yes, my Dear, here is a brilliant summary about worldwide C.I.A. espionage at universities!

"University Spy - A True Story"

Behavioral science teaches that small changes in a man's sex-life can have large effects on keeping secrets. Defrocked Chief Paterson, who had up to my 'interviews' never hooked up with a man, made a quick transition from the closet to homosexual voracity and behaved like an animal on steroids!

These investigative interviews will plunge you, the reader, into the murk of the abnormal psychology and mind boggling career of W. B. Paterson from hell-bent taxi driver to hysterical C.I.A. Chief-of-university-spies!

It was morning in America, the alcoholic Chief had just finished vomiting, was hung-over and had a pathological need for homosexual intercourse. Working in the Chief's office was like coming to an U.S. war-of-aggression zone where sexual degradation, torture and rape flourish.

I can't believe people don't believe this happened. I have friends in NY. It happened!

  • Sandra Essary10/22/2008

Stuff like this really gets my ire up. I'm fuming. I was there (in NY) when it happened, and I assure you, the Towers fell. And left a big hole after they cleared away the debris and bodies (never found my friend's body from the second plane). So much for the "Towers in the mist" theory. Every one of these theories is so WRONG in more ways than one. Next thing, they'll be telling us that the WTC never existed at all, that it was an illusion. Excuse me while I go cool off.

I have no idea how some people continue to believe these conspiracy theories. It is absolutely ridiculous. Well written!

Nice work. I hadn't heard most of these. Lisa Beamer spoke at a church here, not long after the tragedy. The story of the Beamer's faith in Jesus is a great encouragement to Christians.

I'm a conspiracy theorist...ahem...observer by nature. The one and only hypothesis mentioned here, that I've ever heard of, is the one you glossed over. Those others, I've no idea where you heard them. Too bad most folks don't understand that governments have used false terrorism to scare followers into compliance for millenia. Bin Laden was a CIA asset. Religion's a harder conspiracy to swallow.

Some people do insist that they have to believe in only what has been told to them lest they not have the 72 (blank) .... What do you expect of people who actually say they see flying camels?

  • Eddie Somers9/21/2008

"I guess we never really landed on the moon either."
"You can totally see the strings" - Pheobe Buffay

Hehe...those are, indeed, some crazy theories!
