I actually have only been in this store a couple of times and once since it was repaired after a really bad fire destroyed many things. Unfortunately it also messed up the late owners prized 1957 Strat, but it is still pretty nice looking even with some of the things that were messed up on it. Unfortunately the Stratocaster is not there right now, but there is a 1957 Les Paul jr on display. It is also beautiful. They sell pretty much what you would expect a music store to sell in terms of guitars, basses, drums, amplifiers, band instruments and various accessories like strings, cases, picks, and sticks. I did not check out the band instrument section, so I really can't tell you very much about it. I hit the rest of the departments and will tell you about them.

They carry drums by Tama, Grestch, Sonar and CB, They do not advertise it, but I have seen Pearl drums in their on a few occasions. They are usually on special thought. They also have various cymbals including Zildijan and Sabian and Remo drum heads as well as a variety of sticks, bags and other drummer accessories.

By far the best part of the store is the guitar section. This is where the prized vintage 1957 Fender Stratocaster is located behind bullet proof glass display. I think it must have been fire proof as well because it made it through the fire, but had melted machine heads and things of that nature. Have the most guitars on display of the various music stores that I have been in. What they don't have they can often order for you. Some stores might only have 8 on display, but I found at least forty guitars the last time I was in there and then some. Guitars include Ibanez, Fender, Martin, Jackson, Epiphone and Gibson. As an ESP guy I am a bit disappointed that they don't carry them, but no place is perfect.

Since you need to plug in to get a great sound Earl Teat Music also has a wide variety of amplifiers available for your playing needs. They have a wide variety of Marshall, Fender, Krank, Ibanez and Peavey amplifiers including the VYPER series.

I personally like the store. Most of the salespeople are very helpful and they all are musicians as well. I think it is worth going in just to check out the vintage 1957 Stratocaster when it makes its reappearance and the 1957 Les Paul Jr. The prices really are good and I advise anyone to check it out.

Thanks. I disagree though. they are a horrible investment for me because i would want to play them, but if someone can fight the urge they are a great investment. some of the early japanese guitars like ibanez les paul copies are also getting up in value if someoen cant afford the fender or gibson

Vintage guitars could be the best investment one could make. Back in the 70s you could walk into most any pawn shop and see vintage Fender and Gibson guitars/basses hanging all over the place. Of course, they weren't vintage then. I bought my 66 P-Bass in 1972 for $100 in near mint condition. Good article.
