A 4th of July Dessert

Red, White, and Blue

DeeDee
Fourth of July was created to honor the great country of America. Why not have friends over for a backyard BBQ and this tasty, 4th of July festive dessert? It's tasty and easy to make! Everyone will love it!

Ingredients:
1 loaf of premade pound cake
2 containers of strawberries
1 tub of Cool Whip topping
2 pints of blueberries
1 package of vanilla pudding

Directions:
Wash your blueberries and strawberries and pat them dry. Remove the stems from the strawberries and cut them in half. Set them aside.

Make your pudding as the package directions and put it in the fridge to set and cool.

Cut up the pound cake.

Use a glass trifle bowl to layer all the ingredients. Start with a layer of the pound cake.

Then spoon a thin layer of the pudding over top of the pound cake. Make sure that you can see the pudding from the outside of the trifle bowl.

Add a layer of strawberries. Start by making a ring around the outside of the trifler bowl so you can see them, then fill in the middle.

Add a layer of blueberries.

Add a thick layer of cool whip.

Repeat all layers starting with the pound cake again until you have gotten to the top of your trifle bowl.

Try to end with a layer of white cool whip and then decorate with strawberries on blueberries creatively placed.

Keep in the refrigerator until ready to serve. Enjoy!
