A B Seas Alphabet Fishing Game: Great for Preschoolers

Niki
The A B Seas Alphabet Fishing Game by Discovery Toys is a fun way to introduce your preschooler to the alphabet. The concept of the game is to "catch" a sea creature with the magnetic fishing pole and match the letter on the sea creature to the letter on their game board. The game board is two-sided, with one side with uppercase letters and the other side with lowercase letters. The game comes with four game boards, four magnetic fishing pole, several sea creatures(dolphins, crabs, fish, sharks, etc) and a parents' guide. The recommended age for this game is 4-5 years of age.

I bought this game for my 3 year old to help her with letter recognition. She immediately loved "fishing" for the fun sea creatures. Another reason why I purchased the A B Seas Alphabet Game is because it is made by Discovery Toys. I love this brand because they produce high quality, education toys. They also come with a lifetime guarantee! If a toys breaks simply contact your local Discovery Toys representative and she will replace it for you. I also love ordering products through a representative because I am supporting local work-at-home moms and receive great personal customer service from my rep.

I only have two complaints about this product. My first complaint is the cardboard where the sea creatures are is pretty flimsy and falls over quite easily. We had to stop the game a couple of times to put the cardboard back in place. Also the fishing poles get very tangled, very easily.

You can purchase the A B Seas Alphabet Game through a local Discovery Toys representative. If you can not find a local rep, you can order the game through the company website.

I would highly recommend this game to anyone with a preschool-aged child. It provides a fun way for your child to learn about phonics, upper and lowercase letter recognition, and cooperative play. Having fun while learning is the best way for young children to learn. The A B Seas game is simple enough for children to understand the concept, yet fun enough to hold their interest. My daughter is now four years old and she often asks to play her "alphabet fishing game". Last, and definitely not least important, is the wonderful memories you are creating by sitting down and playing a board game with your child.

I loved this game so uch that when I went to a party hosted by my cousin, I ended up joining Discovery Toys and becoming and Educational Consultant!
I use this game with my three year old and, even though he does not know his letters, we fish for the different animals and try to MATCH the letters to those on the board. He loves it!
