A Bachelorette Finale Without a True Spoiler

A Bachelorette Finale without a true spoiler? It's kind of shocking if you think about it. Reality Steve has laid out several Bachelor and Bachelorette spoilers for the past few shows. His spoilers have been so accurate it makes one think he's a crew member on the show or someone hired out to over-hype a show to get ratings. Whatever the case, he has been on the money for some time. The dude knows his stuff. At least that was the case until the 2010 Bachelorette.

What did Reality Steve say this year? 2010 Bachelorette Finale spoilers aren't quite as clear as we've seen in the past. Reality Steve says Ali Fedotowsky picks no one or Roberto-but he's darn sure she doesn't pick Chris.
But wait a second! US Magazine seems to think Ali gets engaged to Roberto. There are fan sites and blogs that also echo that thought. But for the first time in some time, there is some confusion as to what will actually happen on the final rose ceremony on August 1, 2010. That should make for much better reality television this time around.

I have to admit I am one of those who always jumps the gun and reads the spoilers to see if my suspicions are correct. In past seasons, many of us spoiler readers found just what we wanted well in advance of any finale for The Bachelor and Bachelorette. I kind of find it refreshing that this year there is lots of what appears to be misinformation leaking about what actually transpires on the Finale. It's nice to know that I will get to watch it unfold without having spoiled it by checking out various spoilers. How did this happen?

Is ABC being more security tight with their information? There are rumors floating around that ABC actually shot several endings to the show. Perhaps they shot alternate endings so word doesn't get out about what actually does happen. That means the leakage of such information could be prevented or at least held accountable with only the photographers on location, the participants and host Chris Harrison. It's a genius idea to prevent the information from getting out there if that's what truly happened. Unless of course it was someone from ABC throwing the information out there well in advance to garner more attention to the show. Could that happen? It seems quite devious but why not? In this day of marketing and branding, things seem to leak on purpose somehow. But I think leaking the information well in advance is clearly not what ABC should want if they truly want big ratings on the finale night of their coveted franchise.

The worst thing in this entire scenario and what seems to be getting overlooked is that Ali doesn't choose Chris-or so it appears. The Bachelorette Finale would be much juicier if Ali somehow would pick the guy who doesn't seem to have a chance at this point. I have found no spoilers that point to Ali giving Chris the final rose. He seems like such a genuine and caring guy. Now he stands as a huge underdog-which makes me root for him even more. I think the guy genuinely loves Ali and would do anything for her. So it'll be sad when what we do seem to know becomes truth on Finale night. Ali doesn't choose Chris according to many spoilers and rumors.
Somehow I seem to feel his pain and rejection.

Maybe Chris could be the next Bachelor for ABC if and when she doesn't pick him. It doesn't seem like he is the type ABC would chose to be the next Bachelor. It seems like the producers of the show always want to pick some semi-wealthy, overly handsome and happening guy. It makes sense for the 25 women involved but what about the average Joe like Chris who represents so many of us? It would be nice to see a normal dude have that opportunity. But I don't think ABC will feel that he would make great television with his down to earth attitude. That's one of the reasons the producers of the Bachelorette may have picked Ali-because of the way she let sparks fly with Vienna on the Jake season of The Bachelor. If Ali doesn't pick Roberto, I can almost guarantee producers of The Bachelor would jump on the former baseball player to be the next guy. Roberto kind of fits the mold of those in the past. ABC producers are probably well aware Roberto would pull in the female viewers if Ali does not choose him.

We'll see if Roberto is even available after The Bachelorette Finale on Monday, August 1, 2010. For the first time in some time, we will all watch it unfold with only sneaky suspicions of what is to come. I would say if Roberto gets eliminated first, Ali is on her way to ending the show the same way she started it-single. She'll pull a Brad.
It would be an absolute pleasant surprise if Ali does somehow choose the now overwhelming underdog Chris.
It seems now the most likely scenario is she will walk away with Roberto. I would say that scenario is the overwhelming odds on favorite to play out. Whatever happens, it should be 2 hours of fun television with an addition hour of After The Rose to follow.
