A Basic Look at Numerology

What Are the Numbers Telling Us?

Kevin Lamb
Numerology is the science of the numbers. When used correctly these numbers can provide valuable information to guide you around some of the obstacles in life. Not only can numerology match you up with that special someone, but it also gives interesting details about your: personality, attitude, and your destiny in life.

Your numerological number began at the moment of your birth. Each planet's "exact" position at your birth makes up the various traits of your astrological chart. What you do with this information can alter the rest of your life, if the vibrations of the numbers are right.

Numerology divines information from life through numbers. Since the dawn of history numbers have been an important source in gaining information. Numerology got its start 2,500 years ago when a Greek mathematician named Pythagoras created the "Pythagorean number system."

Evolution of numerology

Pythagoras was a philosopher, a theorist, and is also regarded as the founder of geometry. His mathematical theories and studies gave birth to the science of numerology. During the time that Pythagoras lived it was widely believed that the universe was created by vibrating energy. Today this energy is what scientists call wavelength, or electromagnetic energy.

Pythagoras contended that this vibrating energy could be understood through numbers. Each of the numbers vibrated in a certain way, and the core of all matter was made from this vibrating numerological energy.

His teachings taught that each number was unique, and that all it took to understand the qualities of a person, place, or thing, was to know which numbers made up its energy. Pythagoras believed that the vibration of the universe at the exact moment of a person's birth created an influence of their characteristics, and also their destiny in life.

How it works

Numerology is not depended on psychic abilities or any type of clairvoyance. Each person is born with a numerological blueprint of who they are. This blueprint describes the essence of you. It tells how you react in certain situations such as your strengths, and also your weaknesses. When understood, numerology can help to improve the quality of your life.

The most important Numerological number to study is the life path number. The life path number is derived when you add all of the numbers in your birth date (independently,) and keep adding them together until they're reduced down to a single digit.

For example, if you were born on 2-7-1962, the total of these numbers is 27. You then add the 2&7 together to get a 9. Remember, all of these numbers are added individually until they're reduced to a single digit. This person who was born on 2-7-1962 has a life path number of 9, and is a Humanitarian.

Life path numbers provide information about your life. They tell you about the traits of your personality, and also your good and bad points. Numerology is also very helpful when choosing a career, home, or even telling you which other life path numbers are your perfect match.

Each life path number is especially adapted for different skills. Life path numbers range from 1-9; there are no double digit life path numbers. Here are a few examples of life path numbers, with some of their life traits, and qualities. Also great as philosophers, seven life paths are usually loyal, and trustworthy in a relationship.

Life path number 9: The Humanitarian.

This is the highest of all life path numbers. Although a nine life path does not strive to be the center of attention, they're usually put there anyway. Driven by a strong sense of something to believe in, this life path will seek its purpose with determination and drive. The nine life path can either be a doctor, or anything in the creative field such as: writer, artist, musician, or even an actor.

Numerology can tell you which life path numbers are matches if you are looking for a mate. Such as: 3, 6, and 9 are natural match numbers. 1, 2, and 5 are compatible, and 4, 7, and 8, are challenge numbers.

Numerology can provide detailed information on soul numbers, personality numbers, and also your power name number. Each of these categories provides more interesting traits about yourself, which might have gone unnoticed before.

When the numbers and vibrations are connected with the universe the possibilities are endless. Once numerology is understood, you're able to find a compatible mate, make the best out of your life, and even understand where you fit into the big picture.
