i think
tomorrow
i'll go
to where
the land
becomes ocean
and sit
and wait
a tide
all waves
before my
open eyes
sunk deep
into
my sand
blown face
i'll linger
briefly
miss tea
foam on coffee
and buttered
bread
i won't cry
but when
i smile
only i
and this vagrant
gulf
will know
the lie
