A Better Day

Donna Cavanagh
I got stuck in traffic
And I was late for work
A guy let the door slam in my face
God, he was such a jerk!

A computer virus suckered me in
I passed it to my boss
I thought it was a funny joke
Now, a day's work may be lost

Did you ever have one of those days
Where everything went awry?
You hope and pray it's all been a dream
You wish you could just hide and cry

Before you sink into despair
Know that this day will end
And tomorrow you start with a fresh slate
On this, you can depend

Never allow one bad day
To steal your joy and heart
A better day will soon be here
And you will have a brand new start
