A Blustering Chance

Stephanie Jeannot
My heart reflects a ribbon in the sky for our love

My eyes, the winter snow sent from our father up above

My smile, the sun on the warmest day in winter

When the winds bluster miles high and cut through the day like a scissor

My vision, a rainbow on the stormiest day of the year

Where you could slide down and into a dream you can career.

Your sight is like a thousand words that formulate in a brain storm

So replete it can hold you down and keep you in accord

Your touch like the feel of a 1,000 count sheet against your head to foot

You interest me in ways that just seem to grab my threads like a crochet hook.

Could it be love? Maybe! I don't know; I'm a little shy when it comes to you.

Lessons to carry you through the works like an old teacher of mine used to do.

Hopeful for moments of blending schematics, like chocolate and caramel

Yet it wasn't about looks just who you are that rung the bell.

And suddenly, I'm so into you. It's true! Not superannuated.

My thoughts somehow seem active on the idea of me and you

I think I wanted to enrich it to be like Abraham and Sarah

A forever romance that just continues climbing the rungs on the ladder.

I never thought the whole thing through and never thought of the outcome.

I just knew where I wanted to be and that was enfolded in your love.

Like holding hands and wearing pretty things just to see you.

I'm an oaf when it comes to these things and I'm telling you the truth.

My heart reflects a ribbon in the sky for mature love

My spirit hopes that one day your love will harmonize my cup

My smile the sun shine bright over this vast expanse

Hoping that the winter wind will bluster from you a chance
