A Bonfire of Passion

Romantic Prose

Farah Bazzrea
A bonfire of passion for love and life burns within my soul. It consumes those mortal men whose lives are squandered, unaware each morning holds the promise of unlimited potential, leaving their spent ashes scattered to the winds. To those few men knowing whatever our minds can envision, we can create, I'm like that special day when everything happens just as you desire. From the first rays of sunrise created when our souls unite, you bask in our metaphorical sun's warmth, savoring the sustaining exhilaration of life in every breath, feeling Universal Energy flowing through every cell of your being, desirous of extending this finite time into Eternity. Sadly, mental attempts to freeze the frame, lessen the unimaginable heights attainable only by the complete release of self. After soaring through the heavens with complete abandonment, earth nears, time once again continues its steady tireless march. In your heart of hearts, you know each second flees beyond the limitations of human senses to absorb. The unbridled, immeasurable intensity of our journey through time and space together have hastened the day into night, never before recalled so quickly. Earthly shadows lengthen, a mournful moon fills the deep emptiness lingering in your heart. I'm gone. The sun may rise again, but it can never be the same. In this human existence, time only marches forward, rules of the game. A lifetime may remain, yet the moment's magic holds my warmth in your soul, my breath on your face, my touch in your heart, forever. You smile, knowing we shared this precious and wondrous gift of life, if only for a day.

...and how beautiful when one can RECOGNIZE those moments as they happening and be so grateful, within the moment, and not down the road.
