A Book Review on "A Mother's Story"
A Mother's Story is an inspirational book that I encourage you to read. In her book Luauna speaks honestly about her life, her experiences and her trials. She was born in the small town of Rocky Ford, Colorado just south of Colorado Springs. She grew up in a dysfunctional household without much stability. When she was just a few years old she was placed in an orphanage in Pueblo, Colorado. Abandoned, hurt and confused she felt very much alone in this world.
As she grew up, her life only got worse. In and out of detention centers, her life was a mess. She was an angry young woman living in survival mode. She married at the age of 16 and it ended in tragedy. He was murdered a few years later leaving her two months pregnant and with a two-year old son. She had no idea what the future held for her, but the anger and pain that she felt in her life was unbearable. She medicated her sorrows with cocaine. Was there any hope for this young woman and these precious children?
Little did Luauna know that God had a plan for her life. In the book, she describes the day that a young woman by the name of Maria, boldly confronted her and told her that Jesus loved her. It angered Luauna at first and she tried to blow it off. But, that moment made an impact on her and seven months later she gave her life to Christ.
Since that day that she gave her life to the Lord, her life has never been the same. She has raised two beautiful, talented and God fearing children. She went on to receive a doctrine and now preaches her message of hope and salvation throughout the world.
She is a woman who has known abuse, abandonment, and addiction but has been transformed by the love of Christ and is a new woman. As you read through her book you won't want to put it down. She is a powerful woman who has found her destiny and her purpose.
Luauna understands what it is like to experience hurt, confusion and to feel unloved but she also has come to know a God that can erase that pain and can melt away the heartache.
Dr. Luauna is a strong and beautiful woman and her love and zeal for Christ is unquenchable. Maybe you've been there yourself, or know someone who has been through similar circumstances. Whatever your background, this amazing story will help you see the potential of God's redemption in your life.
I'd highly recommend the book A Mother's Story, for anyone whose experienced heartache and rejection. This book is a must read and would be a great gift to give to those in your life who are in need of God's love.

What an inspirational story Teila. Jesus has the power of God to turn around life at 180 degrees and these people, particularly this woman, is powerful testimony to that. Great story of a mother's love and the love of God. Thank you for such a wonderful, hope-filled story that gives hope to others in this present state.
