A Bowling I Go: My First 100 Game

Rachel Heller
I have loved sports since I watched my first Cubs game when I was four years old. In fact, according to my dad, I cried whenever the Cubs weren't on television. I have always been a big baseball fan. In addition, I adore watching figure skating because it combines both athletics and artistry. I loved watching sports; however, I never dremed that I would take part in any sport. But, when I was fifteen, I started bowling on a league. I fell in love with bowling at first sight. I will admit that I wasn't the best bowler but I always had a good time. It took a bit of time before I got my first 100 game. The day I bowled 100, I felt that I was a true bowler. My first 100 game was my finest sports moment.

I bowled on Saturdays and my highest game, at that point was 79. Bowling 100 is a mile stone in bowling because it shows that you have come of age as a bowler. I used a power blue eight pound bowling ball. Every frame I bowled I hit either eight or nine pins. I also got a spare and count in either the sixth or seventh frame. I also remember being very nervous and, I might have even stated to cry a bit. This was because I was so excited about the prospect of bowling my first 100 game.

I had a score of 93 going into the 10th frame. I took my blue bowling a threw it straight down the lane on the second arrrow. Thr ball knocked over nine pins for a final score of 102. I was excited and my friends and family were excited for me too. I felt at that moment that I could play sports too and that I was accepted as a bowler in the league. That is why bowling my first 100 game is my greatest sports moment.
