A Box of Candy

Leaf Jumper was feeling bad; he had been very out of sorts lately and had put Moon Flyer through so much agony just because he was hurting. He new she had a lot on her plate and he hadn't been helping that. He was surprised that she had put up with him; without kicking his ass to kingdom come. She was one fearie that didn't tolerate rubbish form anyone.

Sure he had been recovering for a severe beating but that didn't excuse his bad behavior. He wanted to make it up to Moon Flyer; so he had talked to Kiyla; who was one of the two vampires that was stay with Moon Flyer for a few weeks as the events of his abduction were sorted out.

Anyway he had spoken to Kiyla and she had suggested he get Moon Flyer a box of candy to say sorry; and that she meant the world to him. You would think it would be easy finding a box of candy.

Not so in Fearie Meadows, which was the realm of the fearies. It seamed that although candy was a favorite amongst his kind, it didn't come in boxes. In fact if you went to a candy merchant you could get flax baskets of candy, but not any kind of paper boxes. And Kiyla had said a BOX of candy.

He finally resorted to going to the human realm to purchase the box of candy. He discovered that the human realm was expensive; but this was important to him; so he gave in and spent the money.

Now that he had to box of candy he had to decide how he was going to give them to Moon Flyer. After all he was trying to say sorry.

"Hey Lee are you here?" Moon Flyer called out as she came in the front door, she was exhausted it had been another long day of meetings. Since Leaf Jumper had been back in her life she taken to calling him by his nickname.

"Hey Mon, I'm in the kitchen," he quickly shoved the box of candy into the nearest draw. "Want a cup of herbal tea?" he asked as she came into the room.

"Sure, how you feeling today?" Moon Flyer asked as she assed his physical condition, she frowned a bit as she noted that he was a bit flustered.

"Better than I have been in awhile, took a trip to the human realm," Leaf Jumper figured that this was the easiest way of leading up to giving her, her gift.

"You did!" Moon Flyer was astonished and relived that would explain why he was flustered. "Why did you go to the human realm?"

"To get you this!" Leaf Jumper pulled out the box of candy and gave them to her. The look on her face was priceless.
