The bucket system in drag line excavator comprises of a big bucket that is hanged form a boom. Numerous ropes and chains are used for moving the bucket. There is a hosting rope that is being powered by an electric motor or a diesel motor. It gives support to this bucket and elevates coupler form the boom. The bucket is drawn horizontally by the drag rope. Is bucket is used from a number of operations with skilled manpower.
How does it work?
This bucket is placed at a great height above the material that has to be excavated using n excavation cycle. It is then lowered and they drag the drop rope in order to drag the bucket inside the surface of the material. The bucket is elevated with the help of the hoist rope. They then perform a swing operation to mobilize the bucket towards the location where they are supposed to drop the material. The release of drag rope later on results in tilting of the bucket and this makes the material fall down that was present in the bucket. It is known as a dump operation commonly.
There are some length and height limitations of the drag line excavators that limit the dragging line of the dump material. This crag line is more effective while excavating the material under the track levels. However they are not fit to load piled-up materials.
Inspite of these limitations, along with higher cost of capital these drag line excavators has always remained the ideal choice for the different mines because of their good performance, low cost of waste removal as well as reliability.
It is the best option to have a drag line excavator for mining, construction to excavation. They possess the capacity of moving the heaviest material that is best for the deeper holes present in the ground. If you are one looking for an ideal way to increase your excavation or mining productivity, all you need is nothing but a excavator.
