The eMachines T3626 has a 160GB hard drive and a single core Sempron chip. It also has a useful media card reader and DVD burner. Making this computer system your digital media hub is not an impossible task to complete. Just load up your favorite songs and videos onto the hard drive and you will be off to a good start. Compared to other computer systems in its price range, the eMachines T3626 is still affordable. Normally, you would not be able to get a DVD burner and a media card reader for such a low price.
Users should not depend on this system for heavy computer tasks because of its single core. Most recent programs are very demanding and require at least a dual core computer system. Video and photo editing on the eMachines T3626 can prove to be extremely tiresome and long. This computer system cannot handle doing such tasks. It will drain too many of the system's resources and cause everything to freeze up repeatedly.
Beginning computer users that desire a basic tool for internet browsing and emails will benefit greatly with the eMachines T3626. It is affordable enough for their budget and it can handle these tasks easily. Parents may also consider this computer system for a younger child. It will help them to produce better grades and learn how to organize their schedules. Teenagers and experienced computer users would not benefit from this system because of its lackluster performance.
With a few upgrades to the hard drive, memory, and processor, this computer system would be the perfect device. However, all of these upgrades would definitely add to its cost and raise the price tag tremendously. It would no longer be a budget computer. Storing video, photos, and music on this computer system is an easy task. Just don't try to play all three at the same time or this system will shut down.
Although the eMachines T3626 is a very affordable computer system, a consumer would have to make far too many sacrifices. This computer system is meant solely for internet browsing and sending or receiving emails. Trying to perform complex tasks is virtually impossible. The single core included in this system causes it to fall short in a major way.
