It's so easy
When the world loves you.
But then Jesus comes and tells you.
You're not so hot but your precious anyway.
Then you get depressed because you're broken.
A sinner, unclean.
So you pave the road in gold of good intentions.
Find freedom in the now
And worry less of these reasons
Now that you've been forgiven.
96
There was a time in 96
When I was on top of the world
Carefree, gorgeous,
I was going places
But the weight of this world
Grinds down
I thought myself sick.
Malnourished, scared and afraid to always be alone
Having and wanting
Is all there ever is
Desperate to make a difference,
So I'll just be me.
Precious
We all want to matter
Be Important to ourselves
We all want better than our
Parents ever knew.
But knowing we are like grass, or lilies of the field.
Yet just like stars, God knows us all
We are priceless works of art
Tiny Tots
Like little children
We play
Like the tiny tots we have faith.
Who could hurt a child?
Who couldn't care
Who would rip a baby
From his womb
And say its choice
When its careless, brutish and cold.
We each have responsibilities to ourselves and others
We each have free will
We could choose to be moral and fair.
Would You Care?
Would you care if I loved you?
Wanted you mind body and soul.
Would you care if I
Yearned for your touch
You like pretty slim things.
And I'm too Wild. Like a caged animal
Yearning to be free.
I have known heart ache and pain.
Love and loss
And people being mean.
I have known terror,
Insecurity and fear.
Would you, could you,
Stay near to my heart.
T Bone
Like a shooting star
I knew you're name
We didn't even kiss.
Like a rockets red glare and bombs bursting in air.
I ignited your feelings for me.
Men really know how to douse a girl's romantic dreams
In smelly swamp water.
Like gym socks on the bedroom floor
And rushing for the goods.
So Far
Like a dream I found my life.
And sometimes I strike out.
No love, No friends to speak of
Just me and my thoughts
I wish I were a cat
A dancing black cat
That had a romance
With a tiger
I wish I were a
Pink Flamingo at the lagoon.
With my mate, but he flew a way.
The Loss
Some losses come easy,
Some losses are unbearable.
Dropping weight can be good.
As long as you keep your head.
So many young things
Know no joy, no peace.
Always afraid of the anger inside.
No one to understand.
Sometimes a little loss is good.
Losing T
Losing you, really not thinking about you.
Isn't working for me.
Your wisdome, your sense of morals, really drew me in.
Lets start a cult with candles and incense.
We'll worship you.
Bow down
Die for you.
And then, just maybe
You'll understand that your faith in me
Turned my world upside down.
GI Joe
I want to play with my G I Joe
He left me alone,
Worrying about him.
Those grown up things we could have done.
If only I were brave.
If only the would have let us play
A sense of morals all our own.
Honor among thieve I guess.
A skewed sense of right and wrong.
Art for Arts Sake
Drawing myself in romances
Wondering where you'll lead me.
Wondering if you need to browse amongst
My spice hills.
You're passionate.
Your love draws me in
I forever want to stay
Nothing may be perfect
But my love for you grows
Deeper still
Like uncharted waters.
Drawing myself in
A grand romance.
Nothing could be sweeter.
Belief in Fairies
I am tall and have pointy ears.
And can you guess I love you.
Magic thinking
Has brought me far
I don't think you know what I'm saying.
I wish I could give you a world of peace
But Utopia is a myth.
Hitler thought we'd be better off without the Jews.
But I know that I would miss them.
Granting Wishes
You rub my leg
Like I'm a genie
And then you make me sad.
I wish I could talk to you but I know
You only want one thing
And it makes me feel like dirt.
I can't grant those kinds of wishes.
I barely know you.
Your anger comes so easy.
I have been on a spiritual journey.
And I am looking for true love.
Tales of Magical Thinking
I was a young grunge girl before it was cool
Then I found fashion.
I may be a little flaky,
But I know that your are special to me
And I want to be special to you.
During college I had some boyfriends,
But I didn't really want them.
They didn't really care.
So I dumped them.
Before we went any farther.
And I can't say that I'm really sad.
Perfect
Wishing everything was
Perfect really is quite sad
We can become enlightened
Through our suffering.
Nothing is perfect.
But sadness can make us wise.
And that made me love you so.
Isn't that good enough for you?
A lifetime of pain
Can either kill you or make you
Stronger than ever.
Don't you want to be my love,
My crimson butterfly?
Pleasures of Lace
There you go again.
Flattery will get you everywhere.
Buy me lacy things
So I can see your heart race.
No one's ever wanted you I bet.
The way I do tonight.
I want you in everyway.
From your sweat to your goofy smile.
Snaggle tooth grin
Wonder why you don't ever
Get the lovin you need.
Can't Care
I can't care anymore
If you ever wanted me.
You scare me dear
Filled with dread by
The memories you left.
All I did was love you and I made you flee.
Should have known it was too good to be true.
We were meant to be.
You know, Adonis, how can I
Describe you?
Wise and a dream
But you disappeared.
Devotion and Heartbreak
I try to be kind,
Its all I can do
When you take me for granted.
And don't want to return my love
My aching heart
Yearning for love.
More love to return.
I am saddened by your lack of
Compassion.
I have a heart that beats for you,
My friend, but you can't see that.
