A Canadian-French Mother's Day Brunch

Recalcitrantem
A Mother's Day brunch in my Canadian French family tend to be a loud family affair. Simple foods are best, and instead of the women being in charge of the cooking for the day, it's the men. Here are recipes for things commonly seen on Mother's Day.

Mom's Crepes
Crepes are a staple in my family. They're sort of like pancakes, but completely different.
4 Cups Milk
4 Cups Flour
7 Eggs
16 Tsp Vegetable Oil
Crepes are supposed to be very, very thin, so when you fry these in a skillet (medium-high works best) make sure they spread out well. Mixing in a blender or with a mixer is your best bet to get chunks out. To eat, add your desired ingredients (maple syrup, confectioner's sugar, jams or jellies, fruit, chocolate chips) and roll the crepe up.

Chicken or Fish Quiche
Quiche is another dish that is popular for Canadian French families around where I live. It's sort of like a pie made with an egg base.
1 to 1 1/2 Lbs Chicken or Fish
1 Bag Shredded Cheddar Cheese
1 Package Frozen Broccoli
3 Eggs
1 Cup Milk
1/4 Cup Parmesan Cheese
1/8 Cup Bisquick
Salt, Pepper, Garlic Powder
Combine all ingredients in a blender until smooth. Pour in baking dish or 10" pie plate (crust optional). Bake at 400 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes.
