A Challenge for the New Year

Mike Hazelwood
Another year has almost passed, and our New Year's resolution planning for 2007 is on us. What will the New Year of 2007 hold for each one of us? We will be faced with monumental decisions that will surely change the directions of our future, and how we tackle or confront these challenges will make us or break us. We must form a plan to make our New Year's resolutions a reality.

I have heard it said many times, to be successful in life we must walk in the steps of those who have been successful.

If your New Year's resolution is to fulfill your own individual dreams of success, you must plan to take on the challenges of the New Year with stride. Each day requires us to set the pace for our own individual goals for a successful New Year. Mapping out our dreams will bring us closer to achieving our goals. This must be remembered, for each step we take towards personal success will require us to go through some failures in our lives. To make our New Year's resolutions come true, the challenges we face on a daily basis must be systematically planned out to find joy in keeping our resolutions.

Do you plan of finishing college this year? Do you want a better job? Do you want to lose weight? All these areas will require us to be determined, and we must all remain steadfast in each different journey we take. Hard work is the key to making each of our individual dreams come true. Determination allows all of us to march on to new horizons in our life. Remember success has never been found in an instant, and all of us will have to work diligently at fulfilling our New Year's resolutions.

Have you ever made plans in your life, but never fulfilled those plans due to one thing or another? We must get a vision for what we want to accomplish in life. Do you see yourself working in the same job this year? Can you see yourself in the position, which your heart desires? I often think of a popular Bible verse, "Where there is no vision, the people will perish." Having a definite vision for our life, will chart our ways to success.

If we shoot for nothing, we will hit nothing every time. Hone in on what you want, place the cross hairs on the thing you most desire, and hit your target of your New Year's resolution this year. Challenge yourself with attainable goals, and make 2007 the year you make your personal aspirations come true.
