This was written by me in July of 1984... my 8
year old Daughter had been hit by a car, I was
81/2 months pregnant with my third child, and
my husband had walked out on me.......
When I was just a little girl
I thought life was so grand
I thought that when I grew up
I would find that special man
The stories, and the fairy tales
Described him to a tee
He'd be loving kind and gentle
Oh how happy we would be
But these stories didn't tell me
That these men were hard to find
These stories failed to tell me
That there are men of a different kind
I met a man and I thought he was
Perfect in every way
I thought our love was made in Heaven
Until he walked out one day
Now I have to stand back
And take, another good look
At what my life has become
And start a new chapter, in my book!
