A Chicken Theory
Why should the chicken cross the road?
By train? Or bus? Or any mode?
What waits for him on the other side?
A cob? A kernel? A hen-pecked bride?
Why does the question bear a mystery?
Curious? Thought? A dome of free?
For such a risk as a road to cross,
One must consider and collect his thoughts.
And when such an idea is considered of worth,
He should in danger's face laugh with mirth
For such an adventure is surely good fun
And surely that is how the other side was won!
