A Child's Easter Bunny Wish

I held the Easter Basket, and then I looked inside.
I found the cutest bunny, with a comfy place to hide.
The smallest pinky nose
The pointy little toes
A tiny fluffy tail
Is it a female or a male?
Blink my eyes to see,
Is this really meant for me?

Place it in my hands.
It's tongue feels just like sand.
Hold it to my chest
Now, that's the very best.
Bring it to my room
To see the great big moon.
It has the longest ears,
I've wanted this for years.

My age is only four
Don't you dare open my door.
I sing my favorite song
And the rabbit sings along.
My bunny is asleep
Shhhhhhhhhh.......don't make a single peep.
I don't need mom or dad, for bedtime any more.
Because you see I have, what I've been waiting for!
