A Child's Love for Saturday Morning Cartoons

Saturday mornings are famous among kids for one reason-Saturday morning cartoons. Kids of all ages look forward to it all week long. They always wait patiently for Saturday to come. Although waiting for five days seems like forever to a child, Saturday always came. For kids, Saturday mornings seem like a reward after all the long hours of school, homework, and going to bed early.

It is good to sleep on a Saturday morning but most kids wake up early on Saturdays just to catch their favorite early morning cartoons. Waking up early never seems to be a problem for kids. As long as the reason for waking up early involves their favorite cartoons, they do not need an alarm clock. If there are a lot of kids in a family, the first one who gets up early usually wakes up the other children so all of them will not miss their favorite cartoons. They would wake up as early as they could for school, and turn on the TV and switch to the channel that shows the best cartoons.

Children really love Saturday morning cartoons. They watch them with full attention and concentration, and they never want to miss an episode. They always hate it when the show has to end and they are left with nothing but the fact that they have to wait for the next episode for the next weekend. Whenever the show ends the way they do not want it to, they would get mad at the television. They like to talk to their favorite cartoon characters out loud and imagine that their voices can be heard. Children have a very active imagination, and cartoons help them stimulate their creativity.

Children also like the fact that most parents allow them to eat their favorite treats in front of the television. Whether it is a box of chocolates, candies, cereals, or mom or dad's special pancakes; children like to eat these while watching their favorite Saturday morning cartoons. If parents make something special for their children, the kids also look forward to these treats.

After their favorite cartoon shows, kids find themselves waiting for the weekend again. They willingly go through long hours of school, homework, and going to bed early again just to make the days go by faster. Saturday morning cartoons are truly a treat for kids after a long week of school. It is their form of rest, leisure and recreation on a Saturday morning.
