A Christmas Apart

Although we may be far apart,
you will always be in my heart.

Phone calls and letters do not compare,
to the embracing love we hold so dear.

It will be hard this holiday,
for everyday is not the same.

My heart feels like an empty hole,
no gift or present can fix or hold.

I hope this letter finds you well,
I'm sure we've many stories to tell.
