Well that December morning driving past his house as he and my sister-in-law lived on a busy street in town, I noticed this unfamiliar object laying outside the front door. As I stopped and got a better look I noticed it was his Christmas Tree fully decorated with lights and ornaments ... laying on the sidewalk!!! HA HA!!! I could not believe what I saw!! I walked up knocked on the door and my older brother answered.
I tried to keep a straight face, but was like "REALLY!! What is the rationale for this one." I asked. My older brother then red of fire in the face told me about how he and his wife bought this tree from a tree farm but that it had a crooked stump. As stubborn as he is he thought his stand would keep the tree up but the awkwardness of the stump would cause the tree to fall down at times especially when they were away at work and would come home only to find it laying on the living room floor.
Apparently that day he had just got home from work before his wife and walked in on seeing the tree laying across the floor of his house again. His response instead of putting the tree back up on the stand like any other normal person would do, was to pick the tree up himself and LITERALLY throw it out the front door again fully decorated with lights and ornaments.
As I was there laughing about this whole ordeal then comes home his wife with the best hands in the air, WHAT!!! on her face look I have ever seen. As I helped my brother get the tree back into the house I could only be impressed not by his lack of problem solving skills but by the fact he himself picked up a pine tree opened the front door himself with a tree in hand and launched it about ten feet from the door step to the sidewalk. I could not be any prouder for a moment like that from him... MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
