A Christmas Poem for 2009

Albert Chang
Christmas: That joyful celebration,
An event honored by the entire nation,
The glory and wonder that abides by creation,
With positivity and amazement that is fulfilled by relations,

Christmas: A holiday festival of cheer,
For making new friends, and bringing them near,
For giving and receiving without any fear,
A seasonal day that rings out and rings clear,

Christmas: Winter and pine trees,
With mistletoe and snowmen and deer without fleas,
An enchanted arrangement that sings without cease,
Of adoration, and tolerance, and, of course, peace,

Christmas: The gifts, the food, the fun,
A day and night for everyone,
Is there a greater holiday beneath the sun?
Christmas, one for all, and all for one.
