A Christmas Poem for My Friend

and I am so grateful for another year my friend.

I only wish we could be together at Christmas,

yet in my heart I know our friendship will never end.

I may take certain things for granted

and not always comprehend the dear friend you are,

but I cannot describe how much your friendship means to me

even though you live afar.

Although we will not be seeing each other this year,

I hope your Christmas is full of happiness and splendor.

I only wish that our friendship grow even more dear

into something we both can enjoy and remember!

Goodbye for now my friend and do not be a stranger.

Please keep me posted about your pursuits in life,

since I truly hope there is never any danger

of our friendship yielding to any strife!

I truly hope we will remain best friends to the end!
