Seattle is known for its great scenery, its great city atmosphere, and of course the famous Space Needle. There have been many great movies which have taken place in Seattle, and have actually given Seattle a great reputation. The city is full of life, great restaurants, bars, art and people.

If you are planning to visit the Seattle area, you'll want to make sure you hit all of the famous sites you may have seen on hit movies through the years. Movies such as, The Dark Horse, The Last Mizmy, The Ring 1 &2, A Guy Thing, 10 Things I Hate About You, Sleepless In Seattle, and many others have been filmed in the great city of Seattle.

Sleepless in Seattle is an old time favorite in which most people have heard of or seen. While the film is based around the city itself, they focus a great deal on the famous Space Needle, which the tallest monument in Washington. The Space Needle features a great restaurant called SkyCity, and is located at the top of the needle allowing for a great sightseeing experience. The Space Needle is a top tourist attraction and has thousands of customers daily, paying to take a ride to the top of the needle in order to view all of Seattle from above.

The Last Mizmy was filmed in many popular Seattle locations such as the Fisherman's Terminal, which is the home to a large Pacific Northwest fishing fleet and the Fremont Neighborhood which is claimed to be "The Center of the Universe." You can also view the Fremont Troll and a rocket at this location.

The Dark Horse was known for having many scenes shot at the famous Puget Sound, which is a beautiful landmark known to many from the Seattle area.

A Guy Thing had many Seattle appearances in the movie, such as Pike Place Market, which is a popular marketplace to buy fresh produce, and to watch the famous fish throw. You can also find great restaurants at Pike Place such as Copacabana, Café Campagne, Place Pigalle and Pike place Bar& Grill. You can also visit the very first Starbucks location at Pike Place Market as well.

You wont' want to miss any of these great sites, so you can either jump on Seattle's subway, or grab a taxi to get around the city. Walking isn't usually recommended unless you are in substantially good shape, due to the ridiculously steep hills. It is possible to see all of these sites in one or two days, but there is also enough to see that could last you a week.

With all of these great locations to visit in just one city, there's no doubt that you won't find yourself bored in Seattle, but you might possibly be "Sleepless." Although it's often rainy in this great city, rain actually gives Seattle personality. You certainly won't be let down on this cinematic tour of Seattle, Washington.
