In Delaware County, PA we are fortunate to have a local community college called Delaware County Community College. The college has branches in Delaware county and Chester County. I am a resident of Springfield, PA 19064 and both my mother and sister have attended Delaware County Community College. I am going to highlight in this article some information about this local community college.

Delaware County Community College Main Campus is located at 901 South Media Line Road Media, PA 19063-1094. They also have campus locations at various centers and high schools making it easy to take classes wherever you are located. You can see a full list of campus locations with phone numbers here: http://www.dccc.edu/locations/

The college offers many options. They have community education classes like yoga and art. They offer certificate programs to earn a certificate for the working world. They offer associate degree programs and transfer programs to four year schools. Both my mother and sister participated in the early childhood education program and then transferred to a four year school to finish their degrees. Delaware County Community College even has guaranteed transfer programs. You can see a complete list of programs here: http://www.dccc.edu/prospective/programs.html

The college is very reasonable if you live in a sponsoring school district. You would pay $90 per credit hour, so if you were taking a three credit class you would pay $270 for the class. There are also some small fees. To find out about tuition information, you can view that here: http://www.dccc.edu/tuition/

The school is dedicated to helping you get financial aid. They can help you apply for the FAFSA and provide information about grants and loans. They have a whole financial aid website setup to help you here: http://www.dccc.edu/finaid/

Delaware County Community College is constantly growing and expanding. They continue to add more and more programs. They are even constructing a beautiful new science and math building on there Main Campus. The campus is very nice with its brick courtyard, ample free parking, lush green lawns and a small pond with ducks. The buildings are modern and nice. They have all a nice library center and the classrooms are kept nicely. They even have an art gallery. They offer campus tours for prospective students, you can find out details here : http://www.dccc.edu/pr/fullstory.html?id=725

If you are an area resident who is looking to start your education or continue it, I highly recommend looking into Delaware County Community College. It's reasonably priced and you'll get a great education. I've seen what it has done for both my sister and my mom and that is whey I can recommend it.
