The 1930s were truly the golden age of horror. A lot of these movies are more associated with the 50's when some were re-released and really gained a lot of popularity. A lot of the characters and premises established by these movies have carried on through the decades and are still prevalent in horror movies today. This is where it all started, the zombies, Frankenstein, vampires, ghosts, and freaks of nature all owe a great deal of their heritage to these cinematic masterpieces. As always let me know if I neglected to include any!
