A convertible baby crib is a crib that converts from a baby crib to a toddler bed. Sometimes you can even find a convertible crib that will eventually convert into a twin size bed. Convertible cribs are great for parents that are concerned with having to constantly put out money for new furniture for their children. Because convertible cribs grow with your child you need not have to worry about buying a new bed for quite sometime.

There are many different brands of convertible baby cribs. Some of the most popular convertible baby cribs are the Nursery Smart Diana convertible crib and the Graco convertible crib. There are however, many other brands of convertible cribs available. The prices of convertible cribs are generally a little more expensive than your average crib, though if you search well enough you should be able to find a baby convertible crib for a reasonable price. Once you take into consideration that you are actually getting two beds for the price of one, you realize that you have a really good deal.

You can find convertible cribs in many different styles. The most popular of course would be a solid wood convertible crib since most people prefer wood furniture over other styles. You can also find convertible cribs made from strong durable plastic if you prefer that style instead.Another popular style for convertible cribs is a captains convertible crib. This crib has the popular captains style headboard and footboard.

If space is a concern for you you can look for convertible baby cribs with drawers. Convertible cribs with drawers can help free up space in the room and are convenient in the sense that your childs clothes will be close at hand. If space is a real concern for you, you can even look into buying a mini convertible crib. Mini convertible cribs are smaller in size than the standard convertible crib, so they take up far less space. The downside to a mini convertible crib however, is that your child can outgrow it faster than a standard size crib.

When you purchase your convertible crib, it is important to make sure whether or not it comes with convertible crib hardware. This hardware would contain the bed rails for convertible cribs as well as any nuts and bolts you might need to convert your bed. In some cases, convertible crib hardware may be sold separately. Should you loose the hardware for your crib, it should be quite easy to find replacement parts for the furniture from the company you originally purchased your crib from or even on the Internet.
