A Contested Election

Dan
President Obama has not been as outspoken in condemning the Iranian election as right-wing spokesmen like Rush Limbaugh would like. They are frothing at the mouth about this injustice. Republican legislators (State and Federal) are all but calling him a coward and a traitor. But there is one Republican voice that is noticeably silent, George W. Bush.

If ever there were an expert in stolen elections, it would be him!

Can you imagine the suppressed smirks and giggles of world leaders if George W. came up to a microphone and denounced this miscarriage of justice? "The world should not recognize the legitimacy of this stolen election! Every vote should be counted! The people's voice must be heard and their choice respected!"

At this point, W pauses for applause because that's what it says to do on the teleprompter. Kings and Prime Ministers would be passing out trying to hold back the laughing jags.

The former president continues, "We should not accept as final judgment the decision of one person. A person, I might add who is less than impartial, who actively favors one candidate over the other."

At that, all the Democrats in the state of Florida would go into fits of belly laughs, with eyes tearing, slapping their desks and tables.

This would be the biggest joke since Bill Clinton told the public, "I did not have sexual relations with that woman."

Perhaps, in an effort to silence the Republican pundits' outrage, Obama could send George W. over to Iran as a part of an election oversight committee. I'm sure that George could teach those in power in Iran how to hold a properly rigged election.

If we send W. to Iran, we'll have to send Rove and Cheney too.
