I walk through the woods
And what do I see?
Whitetails, red fox, gray squirrels, and a rabbit
Gazing at me
My bottom jaw drops
In amazement and wonder
As I enjoy my day
During this oh so mild summer
I wonder, I ask
What might they be thinking
Oh my look, there's a black bear drinking
The animals they stare
As I think lovely thoughts
Of this gift nature gave me
On my midsummer walk
Good night nature
I must return home
And write out my thoughts
Under this big clear full moon
