A Cry for Love

Deep within my broken heart;
Bruised by loss and rejection;
Tears flood my wounded soul;
Unwanted by society;

I grow unnoticed;
Among the roses and the lilies;
Very small in an open field;
Bathed in shade and sunlight;
Needing to be cultivated;
Yet left alone and unattended;

    I could feel the weight of your words in this one. So intense. And is it not the violets among the roses and lilies that catch our eyes and bring us to the field to marvel?
