I am currently trying to find a home for an adorable female cat. I do not know much about her as she showed up on my back deck one day starved and malnourished. She started showing up a couple of weeks ago but would not get close to me and she has fairly long hair so I did not see at first how bad she was. We have a lot of neighborhood cats that show up say hello to my cats and then wander home so I did not think much about her at first. Then finally a couple of days ago she came up to me and allowed me to pet her. She was so skinny I could feel every bone in her body! I immediately got her some cat food and have been feeding her ever since. She is starting to put on a little bit of weight now but I am not able to bring her inside with my two cats. She is small but looks more like a runt then a kitten. I believe she is probably at least a year old and I do not believe she is fixed. She seems to have been abandoned as she does not appear to know much of what to do outside. She is very affectionate and her little meow is very quiet, not sure if she meowed so much before coming here that she irritated her voice box or if she is just quiet. I feel very bad for her that I cannot bring her inside as she has tried so hard to get inside, but my cats are both three times her size and my male does not take well to other cats coming into his domain. She is not going anywhere but my deck, she does not leave to even go in the yard. I tried calling the local shelter and they said they do not have any program to help her right now and to call animal control in which I am not planning on doing, I do not want her killed I just want her to have a good home! I will continue to feed her on my deck and have put a couple of sweatshirts out that she can curl up in to stay warm but it will be getting cold soon. If you live in the Phillipsburg area and would like to offer the cat a good home please email me. I do not want money for her just a promise to take care of her.
