A Dancer's Sestina

This is my time to dance.
Must remember to breathe,
Let the steps flow
one after the other with grace.
I can hear the music
and it gives me peace.

To move with peace...
I become the dance
I become the music
I learn to breathe
with fluidity and grace
so my body can flow.

But how do I flow
when I don't have the peace?
If I lack grace
it is no longer a dance.
How can I breathe
when there is no more music?

The song is within me, I am music
The movements must flow
so there is rhythm when I breathe
My partner will give me peace
and then when we dance
we leave it all on the floor with grace.

In life you must have grace
What is a world without music?
What is life without dance?
I let it flow
because it gives me peace
to just breathe...

I breathe.
I have grace.
I have peace.
I am music.
I let it flow.
I dance.

To breathe the rhythm of the music
is to let the grace extend and flow.
I have peace because I dance.
