Insider Information
I've decided to combine two days for every article, at least during the first week. Although a number of articles will be written, not much money has come in yet and I'm hoping today is the day that the tides change.
Friday's Stats
Articles Written and Submitted: One (1); Zero (0)
The only thing I've got going for me today is my DITL article. Pathetic! How can a freelancer expect to make any money when they cannot sit down and get some writing done? Instead, my other tasks took priority and I will feel the pain when I do not make my monetary goals next week. It's my own fault.
Prices per Article: $13.05 total = 3 articles.
It averages out to about $4.35 per article and while I'm not ecstatic, I can accept it. Not a bad price for one hour or so of work; and in my mind, every little bit helps. I can't help but think that it would even more if I could get my price per article up some. I suppose I could take the time to rewrite the articles if they come in less than five dollars, but I'm not sure they would get more. Maybe I'm just a sub-par writer and I'll have to learn to accept sub-par offers. Or, maybe not; I guess we will have to wait and see.
Weekend Stats
Articles Written and Submitted: Zero (0); Zero (0)
Other than updating my DITL, I did not get any actual articles written, so I'm counting the weekend as a zero. However, I did take time to jot down any article topics that came to mind, which should help me meet my goals for next week.
Prices per Article: $0.00
No articles were approved over the weekend. I don't think that Associated Content works on the weekend, although I could be wrong. I just have never gotten an offer or anything published on the weekend so I don't even check it anymore. I have a few articles that I think are in line for an upfront payment offer on Monday, so that should make things a little better.
