A Day in the Life of Hammondsville, Ohio Residents

This article is about my home town Hammondsville, Ohio. It is a very small town. There is only about 800-1,000 people who live here. It is a nice little neighborhood until you get sick of living here because there is nothing to do.

The only historical thing we have here is the world's first Tin Mill. It is very old and has been out of business for years. Nobody ever goes and sees it anymore. As a matter of fact I do not think you are aloud to go and look at it anymore because of how run down it is.

The tin mill is so old and it would be unsafe to let people walk through it and stuff like that. The other good thing about Hammondsville is that everybody leaves everybody else alone. We are a very friendly neighborhood.

We have a little convenient store here as well. It is a store where things are priced a little higher than other stores, but in this small of a town you have to up the price a little to survive. It also has a gas station which is priced a few cents higher than stores such as B.P. and other ones that are located in Wellsville or Calcutta, Ohio.

Hammondsville is not one of them cities that someone would come and visit for the attractions. There are no attractions in this town. Just happy people who are friends with other happy people. That is about it.

Everybody gets along with everybody else here. We look after each other in this small town because if we did not then things would be a lot worse than they are now.

The school's here are ok, but not the best. There are a lot of people that work at the school that should not be working there which make the school district bad. They are trying to get the bad people off f the school board, but some people do not open their eyes enough to see the bad things that are going on.

I have lived in this town my entire life. I love this town, but living here so long can be boring. There is nothing to do here. We have a little park in town that we can take our kids to in the summer and spring time. It used to be a park where schools played football games and baseball games, but they do not play there anymore.

We used to love going to the park for football games and baseball games. There is even a concession stand there that has not been up and running for years. It is a nice park and people take real good care of it when they are in it.

My father in law used to be the mayor of this town and he turned the town into the beauty it is today. If it wasn't for him the town would be a disaster.
