A Day with Our Father
Father's Day is here again,
The day we spend time with our dad.
The day that we remind him,
That things didn't turn out so bad.
He was there at our events,
He was there at our games.
He was there when we opened presents,
And he was there when we were in pain.
From the day he showed us to walk,
Until the moment he'd go off to work.
From the moment we first talked,
Until the moment we held a fork.
He taught us to grow,
He taught us to run.
He taught us to take things slow,
Every time we are having fun.
All the lessons he taught
All the days he took us to school.
All the times we fought,
Just to take us to the pool.
