A Delay Does Not Mean a Denial

Waiting on God

A Potter
Lately, I've been in situations where I'm waiting for God; for answered prayers, for the dream career, and more. A friend told me, "A delay does not mean a denial." Hmmm, how many times have I gotten that confused? I mean, "God hasn't answered my prayer after prayer yet, is the answer a no? Doesn't He hear me?"

I think that God's preparing that special thing I'm seeking, and the things you're seeking as well. Psalm 27:14 states, "Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD." (King James Version) So what may be a "no" to us, is a "not right now" to Him.

There are things that we want right way, so much so that we are not willing to wait for them to be prepared for us. What if God is creating that new job position for you? What if He is relocating that "special someone" to your state? Who knows? The thing we must know is that God is always on time and never wrong in how He brings things to pass.

The things we force to happen or make happen in the way we want them to usually never last or come with some form of heartbreak and/or disappointment. We want what we want when we want it. Of course there's nothing wrong with going for your goals or dreams, but is God part of your process? Part of your plan? Some things to ponder for sure. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, " 5Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."

So if you think that your answer is a "no", just pray on it. God may be in the process of having you in a "delay" period where He is turning things around for your good. Let Him have his will and His way! A delay does not mean a denial!!
