A Different Tune

Lisa R. Strong
You sing a different tune;
And march to a big bass drum;
You are only you;
And there is only one;

Live and let live;
Is what you always say;
Tomorrow will be better;
Than it was today;

You do not have to agree;
With all I do or say;
No, I wouldn't change a thing;
I like you best this way;

Sometimes you say what's on your mind;
Or crack a joke that makes me blush;
When we don't talk for a very long time;
I miss you very much;

We may not always see eye to eye;
When our conversation ends;
But I thank the good Lord every day;
That we are the best of friends;
