A Discussion About Death

Jenny Heart
When we first come into this world it is by fate. Even though our parents had a choice whether to make the act of maybe having a child. The child had no say about the matter. God has a plan after our birth, and this helps his people realize about what the word fate really means.

Later on in life different individuals go this way and that way, in their lives. What to wear in school, to what guy someone should date. These are all choices that are made by each individual; however some choices are beyond our every comprehension. If an illness comes upon our bodies, yes, we can fight, and fight and maybe if we're fortunate enough our lives may be spared. These are choices that can go either way. If we have an illness and make the choice of taking a chance, this can be a chance to try something different that may help, but then I suppose this would in turn let out that fate that is waiting.

You can try medicines, make sure you go to all your doctors' appointments, take your vitamins everyday, exercise daily, eat the healthiest foods, go on a diet, or go to church every week.

Going to church can help you understand that death is the fate God gives us all. He doesn't say if you've been told you're dying, that you should give up, and not see that you do have options. It's your body and you need to take into consideration your religious beliefs. If you have faith in God, go to the pastor of your church and talk with him about who has the right to say if death is the answer. Is it God, or is it ourselves?

When facing a terminal illness I feel fate will answer the call far us. If we're meant not to survive cancer treatments, this is called our fate. Fate is what brought us into this world, and fate will take us out of this world. People who try to take their own life, states its fate. This is not fate; this is their own actions taking their life. If someone is ill and is not going to live much longer and they want to take a pill to end it all. This is not fate, this is a choice.

Never doubt the meaning of faith. Faith will help you venture through the unknown with dignity and grace. This same dignity and grace will be there when you need to except that your journey maybe taking a different turn, Fight as you should, for there may be a cure, however if not ,know that the fate that awakes you is a awaking of a different kind.

No matter how hard we try, no matter what we do, fate is our destiny. Death is our destiny! A chance to embrace the unknown with a peaceful mind, body, spirit.

We need to realize that this doesn't mean we roll over and play dead, and give up. We fight, fight, and fight, until our job is done. Then what ever comes up is fate from above.

Fate and God don't belong in the same sentence. Also: God did not bring death upon us, Satan did. We were and are supposed to live on earth forever, providing we do the will of God. 'The meek shall inherit the earth.' - Matthew 5. 'The righteous shall inherit the earth and reside forever upon it.' - Psalms 37:29. "Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done on earth..." Matthew 6.

I believe there is a plan for our lives, which is ours to discover and follow. The Holy Spirit will guide us, but we must ask. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this topic. rcj

Great job Jenny! One of my favorite quotations is from a poem by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, "Life is real, life is earnest and the grave is not the goal!"

So true, Jenny, we have to fight against death but our destiny (and eternity) resides with God. cheers ;)
