Many people worry about something every single day of their lives about things that probably may never happen. However, there is no advantage in worrying. Worrying does not stop bad things from happening. We do not achieve anything by worrying about something. Worrying only leads to emotional depression, tension, sweating, heart pounding, or insomnia.

So read on and learn a dozen effective ways to overcome your worrying feelings.

1. Look at the worry from a different perspective, sometimes you may just laugh it away.

2. It can be exhausting to carry the burden alone. Do not punish yourself. Tell your problem to a family member, a friend, a neighbor or even a pet. Sharing always work wonders.

3. Think positive. Do not frighten yourself assuming the worst, disastrous consequence. Instead, remember a failure might mean another opportunity. Think of the good things that the particular worry might bring and stop fretting.

4. Do not spend too much time agonizing over a mistake that cannot be undone. Sleep over it. Time is usually a good healing tool.

5. People waste a lot of time worrying what others think. Be brave, what matters most is what do you think. After all, you can¡¯t please everyone!

6. Go out for a long walk, have or a good meal or enjoy a movie and think about the problem later. A change of environment may bring new ideas.

7. Write the problem down. Then write down all the possible solutions with the pros and cons before analyzing the situation. At least you learn to express yourself well.

8. Do not magnify your problems and be a worrier. You might be overweight, have financial problems, old and sick¡¡ just think of those people that are less fortunate than you are and then count your blessings.

9. If you lack confidence in yourself, imagine what your favorite hero, Spiderman or even Superman might do under a similar circumstance. Just handle the situation as if you were the hero and solve the problem. Your action could be right or wrong, however, it is a decision, and it is always better than no decision.

10. If you do not have anyone sympathetic around, look into the mirror, now you have a friend, motivate yourself, tell your ¡®friend¡¯ in the mirror to ¡®Be strong, be tough, fight on!¡¯

11. Pray. Praying usually brings peace to a troubled mind. For worries that cannot be solved by human power, pray to God to have pity on His people and let His wish be done.

12. If you really need to worry to be at ease, give yourself 30 minutes each day to do all your worrying, and be relaxed for the rest of the day.

After getting all the twelve de-worrying steps, reassure yourself, take positive steps to control those negative feelings. Then you can congratulate yourself, you are on the way to enjoy a more relaxing life
